Jamie 🇬🇧  Life in the mountains of Snowdonia/Eryri. Mountain Leader- love helping people build confidence in the hills.

Our plan was to drop down from Crib Goch and head up to the summit via Y Gribyn and Bwlch y Saethau (Pass of the Arrows) Some people believe the Pass of the Arrows is where King Arthur was slain. It is said #Excalibur is lying deep in the lake on the right- #Glaslyn. The large cliffs on the left, above #LlynLlydaw are #Lliwedd- where the 1953 everest expedition trained and also where King Arthur's knights remain hidden away in a cave, waiting for the call.. #YearOfLegends

Wasn't too far off from a full on skinny dip yesterday! Possibly a bit close to the path though..😊

Looking back towards the #Glyders yesterday. Y #Glyderau.
I have a free day on Sat 16th June and might be able to do a nav day if anybody is interested? No more than 3 people, so we can get enough focus for everyone to get a good day of learning. We can cover the basics of understanding a map and using it with a compass to find our way around the hills without getting lost! We have all had one of those days haven't we?! I know I have😆

Never made it to the top of Snowdon for sunset last night but did make it to Caernarfon. I don't feel like we missed out on too much.

Managed to get away from the world and go for a walk over Crib Goch this evening. It is good for the soul to sit up high and chill out. There is a kind of silence. Not total silence, but a lack of noise. There are sounds, of course- the wind, the birds, the children on their way down the mountain... The lack of intrusive noise is the pleasure. Time to think. If I don't thank @eskanks for taking the picture, I'll not hear the last of it!

It's a beautiful day at pen y pass. Going to have to get up here tonight! #CribGoch

Watching the sun go down at pen y pass is amazing. Pic really doesn't do it justice

Finding it hard to reconcile how beautiful the world is, with how violent it can be. I'm just going to phone Aili and we will have to talk about the bomb in Manchester. It's shit.

Action shot!

What else are ya gonna do on a Saturday evening.

Finally got round to putting these pics of @thomasroberts.cymru on my phone! This is from when we did a really early morning start to get over #CribGoch. It was Thomas' first time going over it, so we also looked at some basic scrambling skills and route finding as we scrambled up to the ridge.

Gwen chilling out on the rocks next to Llynau Mymbyr again (I say chilling, there was a degree of harassment to get her still!)
