The Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) in Vilnius is pleased to present the first solo exhibition by Liam Gillick in the Baltic States (from November 18, 2017–January 14, 2018). The exhibition is a continuation of certain ideas that have preoccupied the artist since the 1990s as well providing an opportunity for visitors to engage with his most current concerns. The solo show at the CAC titled ‚The Light is no Brighter at the Centre’ has been conceived especially for the CAC and comprises a number of distinct but connected elements. Here, the artist continues to explore his interest in intricate capitalist modes of production and the complex circulation of power relations in the neo-liberal world.

Last day of West Bund 2017! Come visit us at Booth A2 – we’re presenting an immersive installation by Ann Veronica Janssens, entitled ‚Rose’. Janssens’s fog stars can be defined by their absence of materiality, although they create tangible forms. With her bright, star-shaped sculptures, Janssens introduces the ideas of fluidity, immateriality and impermanence into sculpture.
Last day of ART021 2017! Come visit us at booth C04 – we’re presenting Dominque Gonzalez-Foerster’s work Atomic Park (White Version). The artist transformed her 2004 film Atomic Park to create Atomic Park (White Version). The film shows families enjoying a day out in a white sand desert: kids playing ball, while adults hide from the sun on picnic shaded tables. This film environment transforms the spectator’s perception of the artist’s initial film. As the film is projected on a white wall, in a room illuminated by daylight or artificial light, it becomes almost impossible for visitors to actually discern the grainy images.
Tonight at 8pm at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, Nathan Carter will screen his film The DRAMASTICS Are Loud, followed by a live performance by the DRAMASTICS REVUE.
