It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our father and company co-founder Philip Kirman Peacock.
Philip passed away quietly on May 10th 2018, with his loving family by his side. Having recently celebrated his 95th birthday, he continued to have an interest in life, current events and the company he helped to create right up until his passing.
Born in Yorkshire, England, Philip travelled the world during his time with the British Merchant Navy. He came to Canada after the war and was employed at the original Simpson Sears. Philip and Iris Estelle Peacock incorporated Estelle Designs and Sales Limited in 1976. Philip continued to work at Sears for a few more years after Estelle was incorporated and then came to work full-time with his wife at the company.
This photo is of Iris and Philip at the company's 40th anniversary celebrations in 2016, with some of the Estelle Needlecrafts, the product on which the company was founded.
Estelle Designs continues to be a family run company, still owned and operated by the Peacock family. We miss our father deeply, and will continue to honour the legacy he and Iris left us to carry on in their footsteps.
