The second Artist in Residence we’d like to welcome to the ESMoA family is Flora Wiegmann!
Flora Weigmann is a Los Angeles-based dancer and choreographer. She works in both live performance and film, often making research-based work that is specific to its particular site. She has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists such as Fritz Haeg, Silke Otto-Knapp, Amy Granat, Miljohn Ruperto, and now, Matthew Ritchie for Experience 29: NOEMA. Her projects have been presented at the ICA, Philadelphia; The Kitchen, New York; LA><ART in California, The Camden Arts Centre, London; and Université Rennes in France to name a few. She is also the co-founder of the Laboratory for Embodied Intelligences with Nina Waisman where they have been translating scientific research in the field of astrobiology into movement. .
