My family has made scuppernong and muscedine wine for more generations than we know. The vines at my mom's, my home, are 45 years old. They were clippings from my grandma's and great grandma's vines, that must be over 100 years old now, and still prospering ❤ Those were clippings from my great great grandparent's vines, and who knows how old those are? And how long my family has been harvesting from this same line? My family comes from here...native American, Catawba...(the tribe, and all my family still resides in Catawba county)...from Ireland, and from Germany...probably more places, but those are what we know. We are mutts, as we all are, and I'll be happy when we can all realize that we are one huge family, we humans...fuck borders...we are a migratory species. So anyway, tonight i drink of homemade wine, born of fruit from the vine that my family has attended to for many generations ❤ Thank you @spiffystuffdude , my soon to be daughter in law, my daughter, for taking the time to turn our grape picking into the family wine...You are continuing a great tradition, and i tear up just thinking about it. I love you, my new daughter, and I love that you love these traditions, and I love that you love my son. I'm grateful more than you know, for you, you amazing spirit❤❤❤❤❤🙏😊 Cheers!
