Tomorrow is Mother's Day.... "Motherhood, I suspect, is never what it is expected to be. We all paint pictures of what we want our lives to look like, but they rarely turn out that way. There are those mothers who face a different kind of hardship. Different then sleepless nights, helping with homework or worrying and taking care of them. I'm talking about those who may not feel they are mother's. Those who aren't able to have children and those who have lost children. For these types of circumstances I believe these women deserve an elite space in motherhood, the club of women who have suffered for the sake of their children. Just because you suffer differently doesn't invalidate your motherhood. Just because your child isn't here doesn't mean your membership is revoked. You, who ache to have a child or hold your baby one more time, deserve our reverence. Today is for you, all of you." - Author unknown.
Even though you may not feel that today is for you, it is, you are still their mom.
If you know a mom who is likely struggling this Mother's Day, reach out to her. Acknowledge her pain, and let her know she deserves to be celebrated, too.
From one mother to another, you are loved. 💕
