Yesterday started out great. We (our family and the Deans) hopped in two canoes and two kayaks and started down the Econfina Creek. The Econfina connects a series of beautiful natural springs. It’s a six mile run, downstream. It was all fun and games until a summer thunderstorm popped up out of nowhere. Kids screaming and crying, Whitney cried so hard and was so frightened she threw up. 😱 Lightning struck so close we surely thought we’d all die. Clint and Carla’s canoe flipped (which carried the cooler, all the clothes, the wallets the phones and the Bluetooth speaker)! It was quite an ordeal. We found everything including Clint’s phone which was 6’ under water (and it worked when we finally found it). It was an adventure to say the least. 💚 #iloveFlorida #makingmemories #econfinacreek 🐊 🚫 No alligators in the creek y’all, I got 7,000 messages asking if I was scared of gators. The springs are ice cold, gators like warm water!
