About last night at @missadanyc: fresh fava hummus, “regular” hummus with lamb, kofte formed around a cinnamon stick, cookbooks in the bathroom. Not pictured: lots of wonderful homemade pita, free sparkling water, xarello #petnat.

Fantastic lunch at Village Cafe, an Azerbaijani restaurant WITH PARKING on Coney Island Avenue. This is crisp-skinned, succulent-fleshed chicken tabaka. .
