||9 A DAY|| What's harder than levitating an apple while looking the other way? According to the recent research getting your "9 a day" of fruits and veg.

||ISN'T IT 5 A DAY?|| While the general rule of thumb for healthy nutrition is to consume 5 fruits/veg per day the studies indicate that the actual "optimum" figure is 9 portions of fruit and veg. "5 a day" has been chosen as a recommendation because it is more attainable given the average intake of fruit and veg in this country is only 2 portions per day

||WHATS THE BIG DEAL?|| Well, to be honest even a little goes a long way. A single portion counts as 80g and as little as 200g can dramatically reduce the risks of cardiovascular disease, cancer and other nasties. 800g is associated with even better health results

||SO HOW DOES ONE GET ALL THIS GOODNESS?||
1. Have 3 different veg/fruit with your breakfast, lunch and dinner
2. Smoothies count towards your 9 a day
3. So do beans and pulses so on some days you can substitute your meat for a nice veggie meal/salad

Remember that even a little makes a BIG difference so make friends with your fruits and veg
