Join us for our information session: How Effective is Your Current Seizure Treatment?

Michael W. Watkins, M.D., will discuss treatment and testing options for seizures and epilepsy including medication, diet, surgery options, magnetoencephalography, and electroencephalography. He is part of faculty at McGovern Medical School Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital medical staff. Dr. Watkins focus is on the evaluation and treatment of epilepsy in children, particularly intractable epilepsy.
He is assistant professor in the department of Pediatrics, division of Child Neurology. His medical degree comes from McGovern Medical School at UTHealth with residencies in general pediatrics and pediatric neurology. Following residency, Dr. Watkins completed fellowships in clinical neurophysiology, clinical magnetoencephalography and neurosurgical epilepsy at McGovern Medical School. He is a member of the American Epilepsy Society, American Clinical MEG Society, Child Neurological Society, and American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Neurology.
