One of the best parts of growing up in New York City was that my mother use to bring me to the Met all the time. We'd spend the whole afternoon roaming around reading books in the Egyptian wing, eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in the Japanese garden and drawing my favorite paintings around the museum. One of my favorites to recreate (probably because it was the easiest for me to imitate) was this Jackson Pollock piece. Every now and again, I drag my friends to the museum to sit by the paintings and spend the entire afternoon with me, just like I did when I was a little girl. Who's your favorite artist?
