She and I write back and forth to each other in an awesome mom/daughter journal. One of the writing prompts on my side was what did I expect mothering a daughter would be like and what about it has surprised me? The answer to the first part of that question is this: long, chatty lunches in the pinkest restaurants in town 😆💕. The answer to the rest of that question is literally everything else. Everything about mothering this sweet gal has surprised me. #surprisedbymotherhood
18 months old and so full of spice. This guy doesn’t let his 3rd-born voice go unheard. He loves pointing out all the things and saying “what’s that?” over and over. He loves to eat and only recently began to protest some offerings (lima beans and tomatoes are hard no’s for him). He’s in the 97th% for size and is, as @morgensternjc puts it, a solid chocolate bunny 😂. Gosh, we love this feisty chunk 😍😇.
Loved our annual ice skating day with the cousins. Loved it even more because we avoided the mall and stuck with our local rink 🙌🏼 #nocrowds#nohustleorbustle#manypraisehands. Surprise of the day was how much Charlie loved ice skating ⛸
I always enjoy taking the kids to Granbury to see the Living Christmas Cards. Their favorite part was watching my mom sing in one of the cards...and spending time with their cousins. #christmastraditions#mostwonderfultimeoftheyear ❤️✨🌲
Sweet moment, yes, but in the spirit of full disclosure, you should know that Charlie is only hugging Shep to apologize for throwing a toy at his head 30 seconds earlier 🤷🏻♀️#brothers#whyaretheyalwaysthrowingthings
