Elizabeth Warren  Official campaign account of Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

The car from Bullitt is on the Mall in DC! (If you’re too young to remember Bullitt, go watch it on Netflix. Steve McQueen’s car chase is so cool.)

Just got back to Boston after a terrific day in Ohio with my good friend and Ohio's next governor, @richcordray! This morning I joined Rich in Cincinnati for a roundtable discussion about the opioid epidemic. We talked about Rich's plan to protect Medicaid expansion, and my new bill to help states like Ohio and Massachusetts receive federal funding for locally controlled opioid treatment programs. Then this afternoon, we had a GREAT rally in Columbus, where I let everyone know: Rich will be a fearless fighter for the people of Ohio.

Early voting for the May 8th Ohio primary started this week. I hope you’ll fight for Rich Cordray because he’s always fought for us. Sign up to learn more and volunteer: http://cordrayforohio.com

Gotta fuel up for a day of campaigning with @richcordray! Massachusetts needs a @wafflehouseofficial.

The cherry blossoms are GORGEOUS.

Glad to join Katherine Clark at an amazing #TownHallForOurLives organized by Massachusetts students in Natick. I'm proud to be in this fight with them to stop gun violence in our schools and on our streets.

Our local newspaper The Dorchester Reporter hosted a TERRIFIC town hall at the @bostonteachersunion hall tonight (yay teachers!). We talked about housing, the opioid epidemic, the Boston T and public transportation, war and peace, and even my coffee preferences. Thanks to everyone who joined us in Dorchester to share their thoughts and concerns and be a part of this fight.

I loved my second grade teacher. From the first day I walked into Mrs. Lee’s classroom at Wilson Elementary School in Norman, Oklahoma, I knew she was special. She gave the best hugs ever. And, like great teachers everywhere, she opened up new possibilities for every one of her students.

One day Mrs. Lee took me aside to explain that if I worked hard, I could become a teacher, too – and it changed my whole world. No one in my family had graduated from college. No one had said I could do anything. But when Mrs. Lee said, “Yes, Miss Betsy, you can,” I saw myself in a different way. There were a lot of bumps along the way, but I never gave up my dream of becoming a teacher.

I’m the daughter of a maintenance man who became a teacher, a professor, and a United States Senator because America invested in kids like me and in great teachers like Mrs. Lee.

Things look very different now. Many teachers work two or three jobs before and after school and on the weekends to make ends meet. They struggle to teach while their school’s funding plummets year after year. They use their own money to buy basic school supplies or help out their students.

Teachers in Oklahoma, Kentucky, West Virginia, and all across the country change the lives of little girls and boys every day – and they deserve our respect and support. I stand in solidarity with those teachers who are fighting to support their families and invest in their students. Their fight is our fight.

Thank you!

Happy to be back in the USA after a week in Japan, South Korea & China. It’s no Easter ham, but I’m grateful to celebrate tonight with Bruce, burgers and beer. Hope you’ve had a happy Easter, Passover or spring Sunday with the people you love!

Change is coming. And kids in Massachusetts and across the country are going to make it happen.

This is what democracy looks like. #marchforourlives
