Last week, I decided to drive to the neighborhood where I grew up. I was so pleasantly surprised to see that, years later, all of the shops and restaurants that we used to go to are still there. Considering how many businesses are closing down now, especially in NYC, it was comforting to see that some things still haven’t changed.
This is the Episcopal church that we used to go to every Sunday, long before I gave up Christianity and became a Pagan. Despite my changed views on organized religion, I still treasure the memories I made here. After all, this wasn’t the place that ruined it for me.
