I had planned so many fun food prep things for my introvert time tonight. Condiments and surprise breakfast things.... and literally couldn't find the ingredients for half the things the I wanted to cook. So I settled for just making some Sichuan peppercorn infused hot chili oil.
Non-glam Whole30 moment: We refuse to eat just salads and because we love to cook, we gravitate to more complex meals/recipes. Also, our dishwasher is broken. As a result this dish rack has been filled + emptied 6 times today. Plus we've hand dried many things as we needed them again immediately. I spent the evening after the million mise en place dinner making a peri peri sauce to marinate our chicken for tomorrow's fajitas, testing out a new breakfast recipe then cooking bacon.
