Did you know that this September marks the 10 year anniversary of EFA Project Space? Join us tomorrow for the opening reception of "As Far as the Heart Can See" - an exhibiton that deeply resonates with our mission - curated by artist Nicolás Dunit Estévez Raful and curatorial fellow JP-Anne Judy Giera. Featuring daring and playful performance, ephemera, and manifestos by artists who resist institutional canons, rethink disciplines, and promote conversation about unpopular work. 📷: Flyer for Billy X Curmano's "Swimmin' in the River," 1997, a 10 year durational performance where he swam the 2552-mile length of the Mississippi River.

Our newest SHIFT Residency cohort initiated their two-week studio intensive tonight! In the coming days they'll use the EFA Project Space as a collective studio to launch projects that will come to fruition over the next year, culminating in our June 2019 exhibition. See their works in process at our upcoming SHIFT Open House on Fri August 24! #wip #shift2018 #shiftresidency #artists #artsworkers #artsadministrators

THIS #fridaythe13th, join us for a conversation-wanting-to-become-podcast with Wong Kit Yi and Sarah Demeuse, asking the question “How long is forever?” Seeking answers from genetics, biotechnology, the law, and people like you, they will weave their findings into something reminiscent of a magic mushroom.
We begin at 6:13 pm sharp! Come with expandable minds and recharged phones!
