We put up a poll on our insta story yesterday and majority voted yes.
It's a little secret but we thought we'd spill Some tips out to make it easy for you to get the best from a Cake Maker. *Never Compare Cake Company A with Cake company B when you are negotiating price e.g "i already got it cheaper from Cake company A so i thought yours should be the cheapest" or " Haba! i still ordered a cake from Cake company A last week, it was so yummy and very cheap"
Yes it can be cheap no doubt, but do you know that both companies fix their price based on so many factors, it's possible to get it cheaper from a caker whose overhead cost is minimal or the ones that leverage on turnover so do not question their price, go with the one you can afford.
. * Do not say " your cake is too expensive, is it not just butter and sugar"? you can say " the price is not within my budget" trust me, the caker will be willing to suggest something within your budget, that's what we do @ediblespices when we ask for your budget, do not hesitate to tell us, don't worry even if its a low budget, you will not be disrespected, we treat both high paying and average paying clients equally.
. *Be a little patient when lodging a complain, do not start with abusive words, yes it can be disappointing when an expectation is not met, depending on the type of the complain, you can get a replacement or get the cake fixed.
. *Communication is key, do not get angry when the cake maker asks you many questions, they just want to be sure they understand what you want and deliver just exactly the way you want your cake most especially for custom cakes.
Your satisfaction means a lot.
. *If you are satisfied with their product, be kind enough to recommend them to other people, this will go a long way in helping their growth, you can even get a reward for it.
we hope you learnt something, thank you for taking your time to read, now let's discuss more in the comment section.
