Still buzzing from getting to meet two of my food writing heroes, @dianahenryfood and @elissa_altman, at the @lensandlarder food writing workshop at Glin Castle yesterday. We all talked about the highs and lows of publishing, but there’s no job I’d rather do than work with books. A huge thank you to @imenmcdonnell and @cliodhnaprendergast for asking me to participate. #foodwriting #ireland #litandlarder18

I’m thrilled to be at Glin Castle today at the @lensandlarder food writing workshop to take part in a panel discussion this evening. In the meantime, I get to listen to superb food writers @dianahenryfood and @elissa_altman share their insights into writing and publishing and read from their books. Sundays (or any day) don’t get better than this. #pinchme #foodwriting #ireland

Two sticks, some string and soapy water were all it took to delight the children - and grown-ups! - shopping on Grafton Street today. #ireland

I’ll be taking part in a panel discussion at the upcoming Literature + Larder food writing workshop. One spot has just opened up if you want to learn about food writing from the pros.

On one of the first nice spring days after the long winter, we weren’t the only ones with the bright idea to head to the coast for a walk. There were hundreds of people walking on the cliffs in Howth. #ireland

Spied in a shop window this morning: Michael ‘T’ Higgins, aka President of Ireland. #ireland 🇮🇪

Every year it is a great honour to recognise some of Ireland’s outstanding food producers and organisations in the Irish Food Writers’ Guild Food Awards, and this year was no exception. We are also lucky enough to showcase the award-winning produce in a menu specially created by Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud in Dublin. Congratulations to all the deserving 2018 winners! #ifwgfoodawards All photos by @paulsherphoto

A sea of sunshine on the tables for an early dinner at @easternseaboard1. Love the new menu - I could eat those soy pickled quail eggs with togarashi every day and the ‘Bolognese’ with salted beef tongue, black beans, garlic and ginger was perfect with a pint of @eightdegreesbrewing Howling Gale ale.👌#irishfood #ireland

Snowy walk in the woods at the top of the hill, with more snow on the way... #ireland #sneachta

Called in to a charming new tea room this morning. It used to be a small sweet shop and the owner lived in the adjoining house. This was her stove. The family who is running this new business has done a wonderful job restoring this 300-year-old listed property and keeping the homely feeling. #ireland

Fab long lunch with @mexicancookeire at the Pig’s Ear. First time there, wish I hadn’t waited so long. Great food - like this cod with broccoli, lardo and hay smoked mussels; carrots with nut pesto; and pavlova with clementine curd - and great location. #irishfood
