Slow cooked meals
Just a few of the things I love about fall ๐Ÿ

Slow Cooker Sunday featuring this delicious slow cooked apple sauce. Recipe from my healthy treats workshop. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ˜ .
What you need:
10 large apples (I used McIntosh)
2-3 tbsp. cinnamon
1-2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 cup water .

1๏ธโƒฃ Core and dice apples (keeping the skin on)
2๏ธโƒฃ Place them in the slow cooker with spices, lemon juice and water.
3๏ธโƒฃ Cook on high heat for 4-5 hours
4๏ธโƒฃ Option to use hand blender and purรฉe (helps blend the skins in) .

Top with your choice of healthy fat like shredded coconut and slivered almonds! Makes for a perfect sweet and satisfying snack! ๐Ÿ˜‹

What you need:
1/2 banana
1/4 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen beets
1/4 cup frozen cauliflower
1-2 cups almond or coconut milk (you can also use water instead)
4-5 tbsp. vanilla hemp yeah protein powder
Sprinkle of cinnamon .

I have always loved Brussels sprouts and my family has always enjoyed them as a #thanksgiving side dish. .

Brussels sprouts are rich in vitamin C and fibre, making them a perfect and healthy addition to your thanksgiving meals! .
.

Hereโ€™s a simple and delicious way to roast Brussels sprouts! ๐Ÿ™Œ

What you need:
500g or 1 lb. Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
3 tbsp. olive oil
1-2 tbsp. balsamic vinegar
3 cloves of garlic, finely minced
1 tbsp. chili flakes
Sprinkle of salt and cracked black pepper
Option: add 4 strips of bacon, cut into small pieces. .

1๏ธโƒฃ Preheat oven to 400F, place Brussels sprouts in a bowl and toss with olive oil, spices, and balsamic vinegar
2๏ธโƒฃ Spread evenly on baking sheet and place in oven, bake for 20-30 minutes.
Note: the Brussels sprouts should be darkened once fully roasted.
3๏ธโƒฃ Option to serve with freshly grated Parmesan on top! ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ˜‹ .
