🍝 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐕𝐨𝐝𝐤𝐚 🍝
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup vodka (I used @alphabetvodka)
1 cup chicken stock
1 can crushed tomatoes (32oz)
Coarse salt & pepper
16 ounces of farfalle “bow-tie” pasta
1/2 cup heavy cream
20 fresh basil leaves, shredded or torn
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1. Heat a large skillet over moderate heat. Add oil & garlic. Gently sauté for 3 mins until fragrant. Add vodka to the pan. Reduce vodka by half, this will take about 3 mins. Add chicken stock & tomatoes. Bring sauce to a bubble & reduce heat to simmer. Season with salt & pepper.
2. While sauce simmers, cook pasta in salted boiling water until cooked to al dente.
3. Stir cream into sauce. When sauce returns to a bubble, remove it from heat. Drain pasta. Toss hot pasta with sauce, basil leaves & parmesan.
4. Garnish with fresh basil, parmesan & crushed red pepper flakes.
