Details of this look is in my previous post. But I wanted to share something. I was denied by a couple of beauty pages to post this look because they are cracking down on appropriation and me having this faux septum ring and the white dots below my lip can cause problems. Well I just wanted to say that I don't think anything like that should ever matter when someone is EXPRESSING themselves in artistic creativity. There are so many women with real septums or faux septums on ig and I think they're beautiful. With lip rings or any kind of piercings or even tattoos. So why should my creativity be kept closeted? I respect that that is their page and I will definitely go by their rules, but why is there rules in makeup? In creativity? in how I want to express myself, I have a few friends here who have septums and they are gorgeous with it, which is why I wanted to express myself in that manner. Tattoos originated to be used differently way back in the day, but those are acceptable and I love that it expresses them, but why is my look about appropriation? My look is for me to freely express myself, to do what I love, to create art with makeup, so don't let people hold you back on how you want to express yourself, whether with makeup or not, that's what is wrong with the world, when people are quick to judge and start talking how someone can't do something because it's not there's to have. So should we not do Dutch braids because we weren't the ones to start it? I find this stuff silly, So a white girl wants to wear her hair in tight braids...the conversation shouldn't even be about her not doing them because she's white, it should be about, "girl, you are beautiful" The year is 2017...we should be lifting each other up, not telling us, no. Social media is cruel and mean, but its also a platform to uplift and love, So keep your vibes positive, ig. I appreciate each and every one of my followers, those that take the time to comment and talk to me, the ones that take the time to like my pic because they truly like it, not because I asked you to. I enjoy interacting with everyone, and I just want everyone to express themselves in makeup, words, clothes, whatever! Do you.
