~NON POLE POST #sorrynotsorry #realtalk~
Finally caught up to the Good Witch season 3 finale on Netflix and fell in love with this reading that Martha used. Everyone should watch it by the way, it's the best G rated show I've ever watched - and I'm an action movie/thriller/dark fantasy kind of girl...
So often in life people make romance so complicated and dramatic, like there has to always be the next person around the corner, or if they're not chasing after you they don't love you.
We tell each other, "you deserve so much better" just because someone didn't reply a text or didn't call or didn't buy a fancy gift. We convince each other that the best way to get over someone is to move on to something casual without looking after ourselves.
People rush into marriage, make weddings such lavish, overly expensive affairs and spam social media with how much they 'love' each other... We focus so much on how relationships appear instead of the simple, real things like how much do you trust and support the person you're with and how can you improve that support?
Or we are too afraid to pursue meaningful relationships and run away because we overcomplicate it in our minds, when really, it's this simple.
This is what a romantic relationship should be about - honest, vulnerable and committed.
Who knows, maybe some day I'll have this too.
Or maybe I won't, life is unpredictable and that's okay. Even then, why settle for less?
