Annie: Today I’m going to get personal and talk about my slightly traumatic experience with deodorant. When I was 10 years old, I was in a school play called the Music Man and my French teacher (the scariest teacher in school) happened to be the play director.
Everything was going okay until one day; she called all the students into her classroom for a talk. We sat down in chairs and she slowly walked up and down the room sniffing. She started shouting at us that somebody was ‘stinking up the room’. I was convinced it was me.
At age 10, I did not wear deodorant because my mom didn’t think I needed it and even after she bought me some, I was so self-conscious of the white marks it left on my clothes I would barely raise my hand.
It’s funny which childhood memories stick with you, but because of this I place a lot of importance on my deodorant. For some people it’s an afterthought, but I’m still worried I will be the person who smells bad, or has a lot of white stains on their clothes. It’s a big reason why I’ve turned to Secret’s new Aluminum Free Deodorant! Read my blog for the rest of my story. Link in bio!
