Meet Carmelita Urduvi! She’s running her two-hectare farm, named after herself - Carmelita, together with her sons in Copacabana in Bolivia and have over the past few years become one of Drop Coffees close relationship and we finally got her coffee! This is her first year of the production of her new plants harvest since she joined the sustainability project Sol de Mañana and it tastes just smashing! All the berries she is washing manually after before handing it in at the mill, this might add to the clarity we find in her cups. The elegant and floral and coffee profile from her farms combines with the bigger and sweet profile we get from the Bolivian coffee quickly made it a favourite to us!

We are now releasing the fresh crop of our Bolivian coffees! It's only been a few months since we ran out of the last crop, but we have really missed it! Starting off with the brand new coffee from Carmelita - we have decided the roast profile for it and now released it in our webshop, at the café and for wholesale. New blog post on Bolivia as a coffee producing country is up on our blog too. The downstairs production and storage area is all set up and ready, but not the office, seating and cupping area upstairs - as you can see. 😁 Here’s our first bit of the tour. Next one we promise you will see the huuuuge bathroom we needed to build due to Swedish regulations 🤩

Good morning friend! One month ago we got our new roastery in Rosersberg. It’s was a brand new built storage location that Drop Coffee bought. Since then we’ve been building and dealing with getting all the legal agreements for running a roastery here in place, turning the storage into a working place and coffee roastery. The bathroom has been built, new floor laid, fire inspection, health inspecting, gas inspection, working conditions for the builders, kitchenette built, ventilation installed, electricity, plumbing... At the end of last week, we got our final start clearance for the production from the commune. Now everything is ready and we have a roastery facility that is our own. We are so excited to start off a new chapter in the Drop Coffee Book today, with a more efficient production and a location that is our! Let's get started with the first proper production day!

Locking up the door to our old roastery one last time. Moving in here 5,5 years ago we called it a ”modern micro roastery”, a place nearby town that you easy could swing by from the cafe. We grew and developed a lot in this location and are now ready to the next step of having our own space and a more pure production roastery. Congratulations to the winners @chrislandstrom , @patrikrolf , @impunstopable , @alex_baristatude @joannaalm in the Swedish Coffee Championships. Competition is fun and hard work. Very impressed by all the competitors participating for putting in the time and courage to compete, push them-self and the coffee industry forward, no matter if they bring home a trophy that day or not! We have seen so many stunning performance and inspiring people at the Swedish Coffee Competitions that we’re boosted for a year. To all the baristas and Roasters in countries that haven’t had their competition yet, sign up at least once. Every time you compete you learn. You can do it! 💜💚💛

This weekend our CEO @joannaalm won the Swedish Championship in Coffee Roasting and will thereby represent Sweden in the World Coffee Roasting Championships for the fourth time. @axelcarlson placed 4th in Brewers Cup, first time he ever competed, very impressive! Him and @tunesandbeans also did well in the Cup Tasters. Thanks to all costumers and friends for the love and support and a extra thanks for to the organisers at Swedish SCA, the hard working judges and volunteers for a great organised and preformed event. We are extremely proud to represent Sweden in coffee roasting this year! 🙏🏼💖🇸🇪
