It’s through happy tears that I get to share with y’all today the donation @spincycle_yarns , @kateburge and I just had the honor of sending to C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital (@mottchildren) and their Ronald McDonald house. Kate and Rachel from Spincycle had the amazing idea to make commemorative pins of The Throwback for Rhinebeck this year and to donate all of the profits to the charity of my choice. I realized this was my chance to give back to the hospital that saved my daughters life in her first few weeks. Thanks to the amazing surgeons, doctors, nurses, and support staff at C.S. Mott Children’s hospital in Ann Arbor, MI, we have a strong, thriving, creative, and hilarious 4 year old daughter name Olive. Once Rachel and Kate told me how much we earned, I called my husband, @petermowryphotography, and we decided to match it. Thanks to the Spinsters and all of you amazing knitters who grabbed a pin at @nysheepwool and @indieuntangled , we were able to donate $4,020 to the hospital and RMD house! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can’t tell you how much it means to know that we have just helped to support other families and children in their time of need!
ETA: All pins were sold the weekend of Rhinebeck, but you can donate directly to the hospital, (or the Children’s hospital closest to you!) directly! 💕💕💕
