My world-traveler son, Brian, has returned home inspired. This combination was his idea, the implementation was a collaboration.
Thick cut, spicy pork chops, brined in buttermilk, seared in cast iron, finished in the oven. Sliced haloumi was then seared on the stove in the pan drippings.
Brian made a blackberry infused honey and tahini yogurt sauce to serve with the salad: lightly dressed frisée, sliced avocado and cucumber, roasted butternut squash, haloumi, cilantro, mint, pistachios, and fresh blackberries.
