Last year 2017 was really amazing. @bykhatra and I got to work on really interesting and unique project for an iconic Scandinavian drink Blossa glögg. Every year Blossa come up with a new an exciting flavour from different countries. Blossa 2017 flavour was mixture of Indian spices such as Chill, Cumin and green Mango inspired from ancient Indian spice market Khari Baoli which is located in Old Delhi. Brief was to make an artwork in abstract and graphical manner which should not reveal the exact flavour and destination until the very end of timelapse video. Each year, people always try to guess the flavour and Blossa's Inspirational Origin, so it was an important to keep it as secret until the end of video.
This artwork represents the landscape of the Khari Baoli market which is over 400 years old. It visualises the rich heritage and vibrancy of the market. The story starts with different spices represented in simple and abstract forms, which then further evolve into the landscape of the market. This abstract landscape includes old architecture buildings, colourful sign boards, the chaos of the market - crowds of people, clutter of local vehicles (like a cart carrying jute bags). Eventually, this landscape transforms into Mango, Chilli and Cumin geometrically revealing the flavours of the drink.
