E- Why is it that when you see a baby with rolls, dimples and cellulite - we melt. Yet when we see it in an adult woman we feel shame and disgust. Why is it that when we see a baby dimpled and chubby we coo how nourished they look, how strong, how healthy, how beautiful. Yet when see it on ourselves it’s a sign of weakness, failure, laziness - something to overcome by cutting out sugar, doing more squats, getting laser treatment... FACTS:

Cellulite is not a medical condition or indicator of health.
🌟
Cellulite is simply the way our fat cells arrange themselves.
🌟
Cellulite occurs in 90% of women - of ALL shapes and sizes.
🌟
The concept of cellulite as a “flaw” was invented by the diet and beauty industry to sell us products to “fix” it.

Cellulite is simply cellulite. Some people have brown eyes, some have blue, some have cellulite, some do not.

Ask yourself: Would you ever look at a baby’s dimpled bum and thighs and question their health, their beauty, their worth? Why should it be any different when it comes to yourself? #cellulite #baby #bodypositive #selflove - #regrann

What is the most "impressive" posture you can do? What does it do for you? Are those poses worth the effort and risk they pose to our bodies?

Don't go chasing waterfalls...or exotic, fancy yoga poses. Everything has consequences. Certainly having fun with making shapes is part of modern yoga...but make sure it is fun and not some big, meaningful life commitment.

Practice is not magic. It cannot re-shape bones after 20 years of sitting in a desk. Practicing yoga postures can expand your range of motion and bring so many improvements in terms of how we move and feel on a daily basis. But there are limits.

.
There is no finish line. There is no big recording contract and no major labels. Nobody is going to put a sash around you and crown you. You are just going to practice. Most of the time nobody will even notice. So there is no point in "pushing your practice" or "surfing the edge" unless you think it's fun and enjoyable.

There is nothing to accomplish. Nothing to achieve and no posture worth aspiring to. Enjoy yourself now instead of practicing for an imagined future.
