Happy Diwali, folks! This festive season - be a champ and say no to fireworks, and yes to shooting stars 🌠✨

That awkward moment when the mighty Himalayas are photobombed by a couple of birds 🕊️

#TwoRoadsOneDenim: I've never been one for a regular routine. As a photographer - work, play, travel (and naps) tend to spill over into each other more often than not. So whether I'm indoors shooting for a restaurant or out hiking in the woods, @wranglerdenims #TravelerJeans are a perfect fit for me - especially for those days when pretty much everything's on the agenda. A super comfortable travel companion, that doesn't compromise on style #LooksLikeDenim #FeelsLikeSweatPants

I find myself conflicted about creating and posting pictures like these. On the one hand I like the challenge of purposefully enhancing certain settings, but on the other hand I don’t like that these pictures possibly influence aspirations of false realities. I’m all about creating interesting content, but maybe we need to re-examine our ideas of what that means. I dunno, thoughts?

The acacia tree silhouetted at sunset is perhaps one of the most iconic images you’ll see of the vast African savannas. And while I don’t like to take the typical pictures associated with any place, I feel like this one kind of fell into my lap as we were driving out of Etosha National Park. I considered it a fitting goodbye to our time in Namibia 🇳🇦 // #whpmirrorimage

Stok Kangri Winter Expedition daily routine:
.
1) Wake up shivering, with frost formed on your sleeping bag (most nights dipped down to -30C)
.
2) Spend 10 minutes removing crusted ice from your snow boots, and another 20 minutes trying to put them on.
.
3) Make the long journey to the bathroom and try, with 6 layers on - to use it with dignity. .
4) Try to brush your teeth without letting your exposed hands freeze in -15C temperatures.
.
5) Skip steps 3 & 4, because on some days you just can’t. .
6) Shoulder your heavy pack and march into oblivion.
.
7) Repeat steps 1-6.

The first light of day haloes Nuptse (7,861 m), as Mount Everest (8,848 m) looms unassumingly in the back 🌄

Where smoke rises from chimneys, where prayer flags decorate homes, and where the mountains catch fire - that’s where you’ll find me ✨

Sundays are for good quotes. Here’s one I aspire towards: ‘I live in my dreams...that’s what you sense. Other people live in dreams, but not in their own. That’s the difference.’ - Hermann Hesse #whpmatching

If there’s one place in the world I always find myself coming back to, it would have to be Ladakh. The land is arid and harsh, but beautiful in equal measure. And it always takes me back to a simpler time. Most of us dream of exploring the far reaches of the world, but sometimes, that slice of paradise can be found a lot closer to home than we think #whereilive
