Rest in Peace, Grace ❤️ It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share this news with you:
Grace joined DFL Rescue just over 3 years ago. She had a few different foster carers who loved her dearly, she also spent a lot of time in kennels with our Kennel Mums and Dads. Grace was a beautiful, very loving girl. She went into a lovely foster home last weekend and we all shed tears of joy for her, so happy that she had found a great home with Katie.
Unfortunately, she had developed a significant limp that was being investigated by our vets. This turned out to be cancer in her bones that had spread throughout her body. Discussion with our vets came to the only conclusion that we could for our Gorgeous Grace, we had to let her go before her suffering worsened.
We would like to say a special Thank You to her Kennel Mum and Dad, Tracy and Calvin at 4 Paws B & B for all of their care and love during her stay. Germaine and Richard for walking her every week, Katie for taking her in to foster recently and spoiling her as she so deserved during the past few days and Rachel who fostered her and showed her the love of a home. We know that Sue, her previous Kennel Mum will be at the Rainbow Bridge to greet Grace and love her again.
We are all absolutely heartbroken at this loss and are left wondering how unfair this is for our gorgeous girl who only just found a foster home. RIP our gorgeous, beautiful girl. We love you so much and will never forget you xxx #DFLgrace #dflrescue #perth
