Happy fall from Dillon Reservoir! #flashbackfriday to 2014, when this photo was taken. We’re lucky to live, work and play in a state that provides these views year after year.

Please, do not spit on the sidewalk. #flashbackfriday to a 1924 main break at 16th and Cleveland in Denver. This one has #captionthis written all over it. Best captions get the always-coveted emoji high five.

Who's been up to see the bighorn sheep in #WatertonCanyon recently? The canyon draws more than 100,000 visitors each year, and many come to visit these beautiful animals. If you're planning a trip to Waterton soon, be sure to stop and chat with a @coparkswildlife wildlife ambassador. They're ready to answer any questions and provide a unique perspective on all the canyon has to offer.

Who's ready for fall?! Such a beautiful time of year and it's right around the corner. 🍁🍂 Here's a #waybackwednesday trip back to a foggy fall morning in 2011. Can you guess the gorgeous reservoir shown here?

Meet Randy Musick, water quality specialist and owner of possibly the coolest name at Denver Water. As #waterqualitymonth heads into the home stretch, let's take a moment to appreciate the work Randy and the rest of our water quality team do to keep our water safe, clean and great-tasting. Each year, Denver Water collects more than 35,000 samples and conducts around 70,000 water quality tests to make sure everything is as it should be. Visit denverwater.org to learn more.

#flashbackfriday to 1883, when Mr. F.C. Timson would deliver water by wagon to Denver’s more cautious citizens, who preferred spring water to unfiltered tap water. Several companies offered this service and competed for business. This photo shows Timson’s water wagons at Sixth Avenue and Galapago Street in Denver.

Beautiful Colorado day with #ChuckLeavell and Christina Burri, watershed scientist for Denver Water, at #StrontiaSpringsReservoir. We were on-scene for the filming of @americasforestswithchuck upcoming @rmpbs documentary on our From Forests to Faucets partnership with @u.s.forestservice

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ... watermelon. The summer staple is 92 percent water - no wonder it's so amazing! Happy #nationalwatermelonday!

Happy last day of July from iconic Ferril Lake in City Park. That view never gets old. Can you guess the year City Park was originally designed? Hint: It's a few years younger than the state of Colorado, which turns the big 1-4-1 on Tuesday!

A fine looking mallard at Marston Forebay for your Friday. What should we name him? #marstonmallard 🦆

Did you know there are nearly 1,000 species of bees living in Colorado? 🐝🐝🐝 Most are solitary, meaning they live and nest alone (not in large colonies like honeybees). Today's grand opening of the Solitary Bee Hotel in #WatertonCanyon truly was the bee's knees! Thank you to everyone who helped build this amazing exhibit connecting people to nature, right in our backyard.

Meet Hank. Hank is a smart irrigator. He knows to use a hand nozzle with a shutoff valve when watering his lawn by hand. From simple technologies to innovative irrigation systems that use real-time weather data and soil moisture sensors to automatically adjust watering, #smartirrigationmonth is all about spreading the word about the importance of maximizing water efficiency.
