Meet Hank. Hank is a smart irrigator. He knows to use a hand nozzle with a shutoff valve when watering his lawn by hand. From simple technologies to innovative irrigation systems that use real-time weather data and soil moisture sensors to automatically adjust watering, #smartirrigationmonth is all about spreading the word about the importance of maximizing water efficiency. Our friends at @irrigationassociation have tips, tools and ideas to help spread the word!

On July 6, the Army Corps of Engineers cleared the way for the $380 million expansion of Gross Dam and Reservoir in Boulder County. Learn more about the project at the link in our bio.

That #Frenchie, so hot right now. We served the coolest water to the coolest canines (and people) at #southplatteriverfest over the weekend. Fun times were had by all! #nationalsunglassesday

Great news! Denver Water's supply reservoirs are 100 percent full for the first time since 2010! They haven't filled in recent years because of various projects like the recently completed rehabilitation of Antero Reservoir (pictured). Filling our reservoirs is the goal every year if it is feasible, but it has only happened 11 times since 1983.

15 years ago, the largest wildfire ever recorded in Colorado wreaked havoc on the land around Cheesman Reservoir in Jefferson County. The Hayman Fire destroyed 7,500 of the 8,500 forested acres Denver Water owns around the reservoir. The destruction stretches as far as the eye can see in this photo, taken in August 2002. Read about the fire and the aftermath, which we're still dealing with to this day, at the link in our bio.

Nice whip. #flashbackfriday to a hydrant repair truck making the rounds at the Colorado State Capitol Building on this very day in 1913.

Such a sheepish grin. As a reminder, starting Monday, June 5, it'll be five days before you can visit this guy again in #WatertonCanyon. The canyon closes Monday morning for an annual project to reduce dust and improve the recreation experience for everyone. It will reopen Saturday, June 10, at 7 a.m.

This guy got a bit of a head start, but mark your calendars! #AnteroReservoir will reopen for camping and modified fishing on Monday, June 5! The reservoir has been closed since 2015 to accommodate an extensive project to repair the 108-year-old dam. Note: Only shore angling, kayaks, belly boats, float tubes and canoes will be permitted until further notice. Watercraft cannot be launched from a trailer, or use gas, diesel or electric motors. Check the @coparkswildlife website for more boating information.

You made it to Friday! Seems like a good day for a glamorous reservoir shot. A cookie for anyone who correctly names this beauty.

Raise your hand if you feel like the kid on the bike most days... Anyway, it was a fun day in the 🌞at the fourth annual #DenWaterFest! A perfect day to learn all about the wet stuff ❄️🌧💦☔️💧

Say hello to August P. Gumlick, sporting that deer-in-headlights look in a #CheesmanReservoir valve in 1930. He served on the Denver Water Board for a record 30 years and has a whole tunnel named after him! #TBT

C'mon man, try to keep it in the bowl. We did our best to keep everyone hydrated at #WalkMS Denver today! Such an inspiring day. @mssociety
