Today was a beautiful day for movin' on. Today we move because we want to. Today's move is filled with love, laughter & light. Today's move leaves behind memories of the last move due to divorce and the darkness of chemo and the #futurecancersurvivor journey. The only sadness of today's move is our family at this building. The people who say warmly, "Welcome home" every time we walk in the door. The people who always helped. The people who made life easy for this "independent" mom especially during 2 years of illness. The people who, for the last 4 years, my boys love to hang out in the lobby with talking sports, video games and more. The people who know all of our happenings...happiness, sickness and drama and never judge but just help with life! The people who sadly told us they will miss seeing the boys grow up. We will miss them being a part of our lives but luckily we will be just blocks away. Here's the thing about city living that we love the most...these guys (and there's a lot of them!) who are part of our village...who we appreciate more than they know.
