Dating VS Powerlifting Women
Recently I’ve been dating quite a bit. I mean now ProRaw is over so I can do that again, right coach? 😂
It’s actually really hard dating when you’re strong. The passing comments “I wouldn’t mess with you”, “you’d be able to bash me”, “fight me”, “let’s wrestle”, etc. Firstly, being strong doesn’t equate to being aggressive. Being strong is a physical attribute, aggression is a personality trait.
I’ve found that a large portion of the men I’ve dated who are mostly intimidated by my strength are actually men who go to the gym. That’s crazy. These men know what it takes to build strength. The time and patience required to get stronger yet still they can’t quite see past the fact that you are stronger than they are.
I think most Powerlifting women would agree that whilst we love being beasts in training or on the platform outside of that we enjoy doing things every other woman does. Which includes having a man open that jar for me... even though I can do it myself haha
This preconceived idea that women want men who are stronger than them is also not necessarily true. Women who are powerlifters are individuals who share a common love for lifting heavy shit, not a common interest in the same men.
So for any guys out there in or out of the sport who are wanting to approach that strong chick at the gym, just do it. She’s strong because she loves lifting not necessarily because she wants to attract a man stronger than her. Before you do though, maybe think long and hard about whether or not you can get past the fact that she’s stronger than you. She forgot about your 10kg dumbbells the minute you smiled at her 🙈 ***side note*** If she has a partner... ABORT MISSION IMMEDIATELY
Anyways, I’ll keep you guys posted on this dating business 😂😏 #powerlifter #powerlifting #dating #single #athlete #beast #beastette #friyay #weekendvibes #thickerthanabowlofoatmeal #thickerthanasnicker #lifeofDella #realtalk #havealaugh #doublethick
