Fall Pumpkin Spice Pancakes β€’
πŸ‚{Recipe Below } βœ¨πŸ‚
.
As soon as I got home post-workout today, I knew I had to make myself some pancakes 😌. These were super easy to make & are totally inspired by the beautiful Fall season βœ¨πŸ‚
.

Here is the recipe 🍴:
For the pancakes
1/2 cup of oats (100 grams- ground them to flour)
1 banana
1 egg
1 Tbsp of oat milk (or use what you have)
1 Tbsp of pumpkin spice
1/2 tsp baking powder (optional)
.
Place all of the ingredients into a blender; mix until you have your batter. Set aside while you prep the apple-pear compote topping
.
For the toppings:
1 apple, chopped
1 small pear, chopped
1 Tbsp of raisins
1 tsp of coconut oil
1 Tbsp of Pumpkin Spice
.
In a small sauce pan, add your coconut oil & the other ingredients. On medium heat, sauté your fruits until they become soft & start releasing their juice. Once that happens, reduce to low heat, cover & let it simmer 🍐🍎
.
Proceed with heating up a pan and add more coconut oil to cook your pancakes as your normally would. I like to cover them to make sure they cook inside too ✨
.
Once your pancakes are ready, add your apple-pear compote mix & any other toppings you'd like. Today I added pumpkin seeds, 2 walnuts & 1.5 Tbsp of organic sheep's milk yogurt. It was divine πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ˜Œ
.
These pancakes are dairy-free (if you don't use sheep's yogurt), sugar-free & gluten-free. So they are perfect for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities. If you can't do eggs; replace it with 1 Tbsp of chia seeds (make sure you let the batter rest and add the baking powder then) πŸ˜‰
.

Buddha once said: "Change is never painful; only resistance to change is painful" πŸŽ‹

I couldn't agree more with these words. Lately, I've been adopting a completely new approach to life (personally) that inevitably has changed my approach to work as well (for the better that is 🌻)
.
I've completely dropped any societal ideas of what I should do as an entrepreneur to "make it" or "be successful" & instead have decided to turn more inward to re-connect with my own idea of BLISS in my personal & professional life ✨
.
And ever since, it's been completely downhill from there (as in easier..). Life has taken on a whole different form. It's now filled with more ease, less stress, less resistance, less to-do's, less comparison, and more time, more freedom, more fun, more joy & more magic βœ¨πŸ’“πŸ™πŸ½
.
I used effort so much through projects, ideas, work & now I just flow... It sounds surreal but it's been the best discovery yet for me this year πŸŽ‹
.
So for now, I simply wanted to share this with you today: you don't HAVE to do anything you don't want to do; you can trust your Intuition & let it guide you towards a Life beyond your wildest dreams. Resist not & flow with it. Let your Inner Guidance lead the way βœ¨πŸ‚

Fall/Winter Pampering ✨🌸

What are your favourite ways to pamper your skin in the colder months?

I've shared some of my favourite ways to take care of my skin in the colder months via one of my Wellness Wednesday LIVE; but I thought I would list them below in case you missed it:
🌸 Dry-skin brushing (I use the one from @hydrealondon )
🌸 Weekly Honey Mask by @goodmedicinebeautylab 🌸 Abyanga (oil massage) with warm coconut oil (whenever I feel called to)

Pumpkin Spice Porridge + all the toppings βœ¨πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ‚
.
This was such a welcomed breakfast for me this morning & because it was sooo tasty, I'd like to share the quick recipe with you. You'll see it's super easy:
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats - 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of coconut milk
- 1 tsp pumpkin spice πŸ‚
.
Add to a pot & bring to a rapid boil, before you let it simmer for 5-7 min
.
For toppings: place 1/2 cup frozen berries in a mini pot with some water, bring to a rapid boil & then simmer it on medium heat until you have a compote-like consistency
.
For the bananas, slice them up & sautΓ©ed them on a pan with 1 Tbsp of coconut oil or butter, until caramelized on each side
.
Pour oatmeal into a bowl, add all the toppings (nuts, seeds, coco flakes, etc) & enjoy!
.
This is the perfect comforting & warming breakfast that is naturally sweet! Perfect to balance out your blood sugar levels & keep you full for a few hours πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ˜‹

Roasted Chestnuts ✨🌰

For as long as I can remember, every Fall my dad would buy some chestnuts to roast at home & for us to snack on πŸŒ°πŸ‚
.
So now, every year when the temperatures drop & I start to smell roasted chestnuts in the streets; you best believe I always either buy some or make them myself 😌
.
It always takes me back to my childhood & on top of that it's such a delicious, easy and HEALTHY snack too πŸ’ͺ🏽
.
These little guys are the perfect food for the season! They are packed with dietary fibers, healthy carbs, essential fatty acids, tooons of vit C (so needed for immunity right now), B vitamins (amazing for metabolism, skin & brain health) & other health-ful nutrients πŸ‘ŒπŸ½πŸ˜Ž
