This morning, after my weekly run in the park, I got in the mood for pancakes...
.
And so, I decided to re-create this super easy 5-ingredient pancake recipe I had read about online a while back
.
Needless to say, I'm so glad I did! These pancakes are not only decadent but they are also a healthier take on your typical pancake recipe. They contain a ton of healthy fibers, healthy omega-3s & are free of sugar, dairy, gluten and eggs 😌

I know! Even without eggs, they turned out delicious! I was so surprised πŸ˜…

For me, nothing makes me happier than spending some quality time with loved ones & travelling ✨

This weekend, I got the opportunity to do both while exploring Lugo (small town in North Western Spain; Galicia) with my hubby πŸ’ƒπŸ½β˜€οΈπŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ [shared some of it in my Insta stories πŸ˜‰]

Both hubby and I love to discover new countries & cultures. But exploring within your own surroundings/country can bring just as much enrichment & joy ☺️

Self-care during menstruation✨🌱

When it's that time of the month, I make sure to be extra nurturing to my body & I feed it foods that will not only nourish it but also support it as I enter a new cycle 🌾
.
Foods that can support your body during menstruation are: dark leafy greens (for the iron), foods rich in vitamin C (lemon, bell peppers, sweet potatoes), omega-3s rich foods (for improved mood & reduce cramping) such as chia seeds, hemp seeds, salmon or eggs; ginger (for cramps & anti-inflammation); and pumpkin and flax seeds to help better regulate your estrogen levels, which will begin to rise 🌺
.
So you see, no need to resort to un-natural chemicals & meds; nature provides it all - and without any negative side effects 😌
.
So, ladies, next time that time of the month rolls around: remember to nurture yourself from within & to take it easy βœ¨πŸ™‚
