My morning read's message today was again on point βœ¨πŸ‘ŒπŸ½

After spending the last few days on a getaway retreat in JΓ‘vea, laughing, playing, dancing, exchanging and talking with some amazing ladies; today I feel rejuvenated and ready for a new week πŸ’ͺ🏽😎
.
Yes, I was there to do some work too, but the members of the retreat were such a pleasure to be around + getting to know that it didn't feel like work at all, it felt like PLAY and FUN πŸ€“βœ¨πŸ’ƒπŸ½
.
I'm going to do my best to add more play to my weekly routine and to have fun even when I have a lot of work to do. It's just as essential as rest πŸ™‚πŸ™ŒπŸΎ
.

+ nutty organic sourdough (sugar-free of course) bread from @panadario .
It was so filling + absolutely delicious! Who else has been loving warm foods for breakie lately?

No cravings but then again my taste buds are already used to the natural sweetness present in so many foods.

Take sweet potatoes, for example. Not only are they filled with beta-carotene (which boosts your immunity + eye health) & healthy fibers but they also taste so sweet to me! Especially baked 🍠✨🍠!

It took everything out of me to leave the house this morning to go for my weekly run as Madrid is now officially on winter mode ❄️❄️❄️

But the sun shining outside totally motivated me + Im so so glad I forced myself out! It had been a while since I got to run in one of my favourite parks here @parquedelretiro πŸ€—βœ¨πŸ˜ŽπŸ’ͺ🏽!

I think it's been months since I've grabbed brunch at a cafΓ©. Not because I could not find a good spot here in Madrid, but more because I love the brunches we create at home so much more πŸ™ˆβœ¨πŸ˜‹πŸ‘ŒπŸ½
.
Every week is different, but it usually ALWAYS include some fresh & organic sourdough bread from @panadario (my favourite bakery here in Madrid 😊)!!
.
Honestly, if regular bread makes you bloated, inflammed + feel like s^*!, it might not be the bread itself but more all of the added crap + GMO wheat that they use nowadays in a typical loaf of bread πŸ˜”
.
Normally, a good bread only contains 3 ingredients: salt, water and flour. That's it! No yeast, no added sugars, no preservative agents, no food colorings, nothing else! When the grains are grown naturally and bread is made the traditional way (where the dough rises on its own), you'll taste + feel the difference πŸ˜‰.

Feeling on cloud 9 right now: I just completed a project (my first ebook) that was in the works for 6 months πŸŽ‰βœ¨πŸ˜…!

It was not easy at all. I wanted to give up SO many times. It totally forced me out of my comfort zone but it taught me MANY lessons on perseverance, discipline, and PATIENCE. .
Through the challenges, there was one thought that would help me keep going: "This could help so many people". I know it sounds corny, but it is true!

Think of what your world would be like without all of the art, music, books, programs, products and technologies that you enjoy on a daily basis... If their creator had given up, none of it would exist

I used to hate beets growing up (in Belgium where they are very common), and it wasn't until I moved to Canada that I learned to appreciate these little gems. Now I'm obsessed with them! Crazy right?! .
If like me, you're not a big fan of beets, then this recipe will make you change your mind. Once grated (when raw) or roasted, they taste totally divine! This soup uses them roasted + I know you will love them πŸ˜‰

OFF to BRUSSELS πŸ›« for a couple of days this morning. And I'm so happy to report that that beginning of a "cold/sore throat" I had on Sunday has been totally GONE since yesterdayβœ¨πŸ’ƒπŸ½.
