City of Angels 👼. Last month, a few hours after visiting Griffith, I had the opportunity to visit the facility housing the James Webb Space Telescope, the perks of knowing an aerospace engineer working on the project. I could not believe seeing the next generation space telescope and ~10b USB in front of me. Of course I couldn’t take pictures from the bay, but I was in awe. From the installation of the sun shields protecting the cryogenic equipment and solar panels, it seemed like a sci-if moment. Using infrared, the JWST will be able to view things in space the Hubble and other telescopes aren’t able to. Science is pretty cool.
