Taking 5 from the Disney Cruise tour for an obligatory cake stop.

Always a good Victoria Sponge from the Pavilion cafe 🎂

Fuelled up I'll be ready to go again 👍

Target for the summer while at Warkworth Castle has to be to spend lunchtimes in the Coquet.

Worst swimmer to wild swimmer in two months?

Walking. The greatest exercise never invented.

Kind words from one of last months Yorkshire 3 Peaks lot. "I'd like to say thank you for guiding and encouraging us through the challenge. I must admit it was harder than I'd anticipated but hey ho...we DID IT!!!!!! A very proud and amazing moment. Thank you so much for been such a fantastic inspiration"

It's been two weeks since my month of Yorkshire challenges and I'm already craving some big miles again!

"For the spontaneous travellers and adventurers"

There was some strange looks for the roof top tent, but they are ideal for people who want to just get in and go!

Great to see it today at the NE1 Motorshow in Newcastle.

Good luck to the Lake District today when they find out if their bid to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site is successful.

It's the only British bid this year and would see it join the likes of the Grand Canyon, Great Wall of China....and the best of the bunch, Hadrians Wall!

2 years to decompose instead of 2 seconds to put in the bin!

Regardless of whether the person who dropped this thought they were giving something back to the earth - it just looks bloody awful!

#GetOutside ...just don't drop banana skins!

Great to be featured on Made in Leeds last night as Guide for the Sunshine and Smiles Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge.

Top day, and brilliant to see this great charity getting the coverage it deserves.

A mountain of rubbish. Literally.

Picked up all this on Whernside at the weekend while doing 3 Peaks.

This didn't include the bloody banana skins which someone else in the group picked up.

#GetOutside ......but don't drop stuff!

Picked up 29 of these bad boys yesterday doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.

Plus loads of wrappers, millions of banana skins (👍 to Rose in the group who was on a banana skin crusade) and a snazzy pink comb.

Hopefully those after us had a lovely day litter free.
Poor show to those that dropped it - once the fingerprints are analysed I'll pop round and drop it in your garden!

Last weekend I guided a group doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.

We had a great day, and as always the scenery was breathtaking, but for the first time the level of litter was shocking. There was a lot.

So, I'm going back again this weekend and plan to try to pick up what I see (trying to work out a way to carry litter all day that doesn't involve a huge bin bag!??). Here's hoping there's not much. 24 miles of people's soggy banana skins and apple cores isn't a nice thought!

Tomorrow see's the launch of a joint safety campaign between Ordnance Survey & Mountain Rescue.

The campaign aims to highlight the growing number of callouts which are a result of people being unprepared when venturing into the mountains (and hills). And most importantly how to be prepared.

Tune in to BBC Breakfast tomorrow to hear more, and look out for my vid with some top tips on how to GetOutside safely.
