Best. Mabon. Ever.
I came down to the river to honour the setting sun on the equinox and meditate the stress of the week away, but I cannot we immediately distracted. My spot by the river, basically my backyard, has turned into a scene from Planet Earth. The salmon have started their journey up river to spawn, and I’ve been watching them chase each other all over the place. Then I saw what I thought was an impossibly huge salmon, but as it climbed onto the rocks it turned out to be a sleek and handsome river otter hunting for her dinner. The abundance of river life has drawn birds of all kinds, and holding it all is the sound of the water.
As the sun goes down on the sabbat, I am reminded that whatever goes on in the world, where there is life to be celebrated there are blessings to be cherished.
Happy autumn to all my friends 🍂💕🍁
