Day 4 of #omlovemyself yoga challenge is deer pose~ This one is a niceeeee one for the hips~ It felt really good to sit in this pose after a day of just sitting on a chair.

Day 3 of #omlovemyself yoga challenge is garland pose~ This one feels like an asian squat to me without the bind. The bind in this variation gives my back, hip and chest a good stretch that I usually can’t get in other ways~

Day 2 of #omlovemyself I chose to do king cobra pose~ One of the most important lessons that yoga taught me was to go slow and ALWAYS listen to my body (not in just yoga but in life too). ALWAYS warm up before attempting any pose that is difficult or requires any type of flexibility. If you ignore that - you may get severely injured! When I first got into yoga I wanted to try all sorts of crazy poses - I tried attempting a pose without warming up and pretty much hurt my lower back and couldn’t practice for the next couple months. NOT WORTH IT. I can’t stress it enough ~ If anyone ever has any questions about where to start if they want to get into yoga - you can always send me a DM. 🤗

Day 1 of #omlovemyself is Reclined Bound Angle pose (this makes me feel like a little froggy lying on their backs) ~ Yoga isn’t all about fancy handstands and backbends~ Simple restorative yoga poses like these are really beneficial for you and your body too! I remember the very first time I was introduced to this pose in a class. The gravity gently stretching my hips felt soooooo gooood. 😆 I felt like my back was melting into the floor. 😋 Most of us live a pretty sedentary life (I have an office job where I sit all day) - it’s really important to give something like yoga or even strolling a little bit (any kind of movement) everyday to get stagnant energy moving. Also - I CAN LIVE IN MY MOON PHASE CROP TOP FROM @OMSOULSHOP!! 🌜I don’t shop for clothes often because I’m pretty content with what I already have but when I saw this top in her shop - I HAD TO HAVE IT. I’m happy I finally get the chance to show it off! 😅

On a more serious note: If you and your body’s been feeling really depleted - one effective way to remedy it is to spend the whole day (preferably camping outside overnight) in the desert or nature area without your phone and electronics. Spending time outside in nature away from the city and electronics is an extremely effective way of grounding/re-calibrating your body and your self. Also.... WAO - when da boyfriend snaps good photos without even trying. 😁 (photo: Camping in Joshua tree from last May)

My tastes buds went to heaven 👅 when @tam_chaa took me to @redsake_sushi_bar for the (omakase) chef’s special~ ⭐️ 10/10 RECOMMEND!! ⭐️ The fish was soooo fresh and all of the subtle flavors absolutely delectable!!

This has been the theme and lesson I've been learning and pushing towards both this and last month. Don't make yourself small and dumb yourself down for the sake of other people's comfort. I'm so tired of making myself feel/seem inferior. Thanks for articulating this piece of wisdom perfectly @iambrillyant ! 🙏🏼✨

I like being silly and making people laugh. I also like being serious and having in depth conversations.

How do I successfully balance both personas on social media and in the public eye? 🤔 I've been holding back on starting up on YouTube again. My first channel that I made back 6 years ago was mostly me being silly and stupid. One video garnered 150,000 views, lol. I got a lot of hate and on top of that a lot of love on the channel. It was fun.

I want to go back on YouTube but have trouble finding my voice and the persona I should project on it. Honestly and ideally - I should just not care how others will react to it and just share myself - authentically. Uhhhh - I think I just answered my own question. LOL. Anyhow, I still want to hear your guys' thoughts on it! ✨

I HAVE A SERIOUS QUESTION. I'm curious, this is a question to people that always have something mean to say about something or someone. Why do you do that? Do you ever stop to think that what you're saying could hurt someone's feelings? Or do you do it to intentionally hurt people? Or are you just not aware that your words can impact people in a way that actually hurts them? 🤔🤔 When I was younger I said some really mean things to people and most of the time I did it with the intentions of hurting them, the other times I didn't actually think that what I was saying would negatively effect them. Now that I'm an adult - I'd like to think I'm much more mindful with what I say cuz I see that the negative things I've said in the past to people (yearssssss ago) and the negative effect they have on them now and that makes me feel really realllllly really bad. I don't want to have a negative effect on people and don't wish to cause more people pain because we all have so much to deal with already. There is absolutely no good reason to add onto other people's struggles. 😞

I've been writing down 10 things I'm grateful for and the reasons why - everyday for the past few days and it's made me feel even MORE appreciative of the things I already appreciated. 💓 It's also made me feel appreciation, gratitude and MEANING for things I had previously found irritating, meaningless and depressing. Now THAT was a surprising side effect. I am in awe with this practice and the changes that I'm noticing from it. It's so freaking simple, yet so powerful. I'm reading through the book "The Magic" by Rhonda Byrnes (thank you @qychuckles for the recommendation) and I found the gratitude exercise in it. I would definitely recommend giving this exercise a try!
.
📝 Make a list of 10 things you're grateful for and specific reasons why. 🙏🏼
