All smiles because we just completed our last stroller run for this marathon training cycle!!!!!! Training with a baby along with him in tow has not been the easiest but always well worth it. Together we logged over 500 Stroller Miles in almost 16 Weeks of training. I find this as one of my greatest accomplishments of Marathon Training as I am much more stronger for it. Being able to share my happy with my son is the best gift I could ask for. I am so thankful that Running allows me to share the road and miles with my little one as it truly is special. No time to get all sentimental over here but Chadd and I have been through so much together. I have learned so much and it makes me almost want to tear up that it’s come to an end......for now! I know there will be many more stroller runs but this by far will stick with me forever. Not everyone can say that they trained for their first Marathon with a baby in tow as well as tackling the journey the first year Postpartum. Thank you Chadd JR for being Mommy’s biggest fan. I love you sweet boy💙

Great reminder as I am getting closer and closer to that starting line. So many questions and thoughts have been flooding this mind of mine but I have a feeling it’s all part of the motions during race week; or perhaps because it’s my First Marathon?! I always strive to see the good in every situation (currently battling sickness) because it makes the outcomes not so stressful. I know all will work out if you just have faith. Despite the crazy day we had, I was able to get out and do what takes away all the worries......running.
Legs are feeling good except VERY TIGHT hamstrings ughhh!
It was very difficult to try and slow down but the kinda day I had it felt good to give that pavement a beating.

RACE WEEK!!!!
I cannot believe this week has finally come. It has been a very long time since I ran a race and I am so ready to experience it all let alone running my first marathon! The work is in and now it’s time to try and relax and enjoy this week. Look back on how far I have come as a runner and the progress I have made.

Run with your legs to be fast. Run with your mind to be faster. Run with your heart to be unstoppable!

One Week to go!!!! As I prepare for my final week of marathon training I can’t help but think on how far I have come as a Runner. I have learned so much about myself and I think that’s the special part about training for your first Marathon. I truly had legit doubts wondering how I will ever do it but here I am now just ready to go!
It’s more than a distance. Is desire, determination, and dedication.
Finished out the week with my lowest mileage ever but it’s exactly what my body had been needing!

Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it!

Woohoo my final long run in this marathon training cycle is officially complete!!!! It feels so good and I could not be more proud for never missing a weekend long run. All those super early mornings and having to be back to the house by 7am have now come to an end and the work is put in. 15 solid weeks of hard work and determination. Now it’s up to me to carry it all with me to that finish line. And to think I almost skipped this run due to getting only 4 hours of sleep ......ummm think again! Nothing standing in my way! First week of tapering and I survived!

It’s FRIYAY!! Nothing better than an early morning sweat sesh for my own sanity. As I approach my final week of Marathon Training I look back with a grateful heart. Running is what makes my soul happy and it has been such a pleasure to be able to share my happiness and daily inspirations with you all. I made this account for the passion I have in running (developed throughout my golden soccer elite years) and it truly shows the greatness it has impacted on my life. I understand running is not for everyone but I hope I can inspire/motivate many of you to just get out and be active. I know you can do it; all it takes is one try.
Thank you to everyone who has recently encouraged me as I mentally prepare for this Marathon.
Let’s be honest, I am sooooo nervous but I cannot doubt myself!

Marathon Training is hard. Tapering is not easy. Pain makes you stronger. Fear makes you braver. Failure makes you better. I stand here as the Runner I am today because of this whole process.

What a journey this has truly been for me!
Running at 39 Weeks on the day my water broke to Now, 1 Year PP about to become a Marathoner. To be honest, I never dreamed I would start training for my First Marathon after having a baby. It has been the toughest challenge and it’s amazing how strong my body has become through it all. Sometimes I wish I would have ran my first marathon before I got pregnant just to see how my body would have done when I first began my running journey late 2015 BUT I have a good feeling that I am only getting stronger from here. That’s the best feeling about running is that you do it with zero regrets because every stage is an accomplishment. I have only run 20 Miles as my YTD Long run PB but I know I will get through those last 6.2 Miles with heart and effort. Running is not easy and that’s why I live for it because it’s an on going challenge; always earned and never given. I have worked so very hard to where I am at now and I am very proud for all the ups, downs, accomplishments, and firsts!
Never give up on yourself and believe that you can do it!
Whatever goal you have in mind just know that you have got what it takes🙌🏼

Two Weeks until my first Marathon!!! I cannot believe I have finally reached this stage in training and I’m such a nervous wreck. I have to keep believing and trust the Process despite yesterday’s run. It’s not about meeting anyone’s expectations; it’s about going after MY own goals and dreams. Trust the Process as the time is near to mentally prepare and physically get this body refreshed.
Week 14 is in the books!
