SMILE through your journey as it’s yours to capture and make the most of it!
5AM wake up call resulted in a a long enjoyable run. I definitely wasn’t feeling it at first but got through it and ended up adding in more miles than anticipated. Already a couple days in to being 19 Weeks pregnant and the belly is all there by the end of the day. Believe me when I say it’s there when posing sideways and not flexing haha It is crazy how I will wake up feeling like there’s a tiny bump (especially after a workout) and then it’s like oh HI by evening. Regardless I’m so beyond blessed to be able to continue the high mileage running; 50 Mile Week baby with 5 days of running!!! .
.
How was your mileage this week?! For me I always remind myself that each and every mile is always an accomplishment👊🏼

Running in the heat is no joke especially pregnant. But this girl felt like a powerhouse with no aches or pains or even a heavy bladder.......WINNING!
What motivated me most to get out despite the hot temps and exhausting humidity was my new shoes. First time wearing the @brooksrunning Ghost 10s! I honestly couldn’t be more happier with a first time shoe.......another WIN!

Please, tell me how motivating a pair of new shoes can be💁🏼‍♀️

8 Weeks Pregnant ➡️ 18 Weeks Pregnant!
What a difference 10 Weeks has made in this pregnancy and I could not be more happier to continue to smile every day about it. I mean look at little Chadd, he’s looking so grown up I could cry. This pregnancy is much different as it’s my second and I am also dealing with the most adventurous fun loving sweetest toddler. I would be lying to you if I said this pregnancy is easy as it sure has not for many reasons but I can tell you that I have been blessed with the gift of carrying another precious life. Each day that passes my love for my baby grows deeper.....pregnancy is truly magnificent!
My body is amazing and wise and I am beyond grateful for what it continues to do day in and day out. It knows exactly what to do as we continue to carry and nurture this new life. I am trying to take a few moments to myself each day to enjoy it because it’s flying this time around. There are so many unpredictable moments in pregnancy but it’s so worth it. This picture was taken right at the 18 Week mark and I can tell you in just a week the flexing is all baby belly now hehe
Thank you running for allowing me to keep my fitness and healthy physique during this pregnancy. Although each workout becomes a tad more difficult, I can tell you I am HEALTHY, HAPPY, & POSITIVE PREGNANCY!
Cheers to all the hardworking moms out there that continue to inspire me through pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood🙌🏼

I’m thankful for my struggle because without it I wouldn’t have stumbled across my strength. Yes, I’m already to the point of pregnancy where it’s starting to become a struggle. It’s ok because sometimes you have to dig deep for it and just roll with it. The last two days I have accumulated 20 Miles so I wanted to give my body a break and just do 1 Mile repeat. It’s always tough starting out but once I get past the threshold of 4 miles it all just seemed to click. .
.
At what mile do you feel like your run starts to all just come together?

THERE IS NO ONE SIZE FITS ALL
We Attract What We Believe & We Have to Believe in Ourselves. Do your thing and do it wholehearted. It’s no surprise that running pregnant takes a strong will, mind, and special physical ability. I get many questions of how I do it or how can I run so much while pregnant or even keep the speed. The truth is, there is really no answer other than I feel like I was Born to Run during all stages of my life. I take it for what it’s worth: If I’m feeling good then I’m just going to run as if I have no physical appearance. But I do have VERY tough days but still make it happen safely and efficiently.
When God gave me the ability to run during my first pregnancy I knew I was capable of much more than that. In fact, it has given me the confidence to be more of a fitness advocate this time around. Knowing that I can somehow inspire someone (pregnancy or not) is what makes it all worth it.
Respect & Empower each other.
Fun Fact: I’m ONLY 5’2 with a very tiny torso....hence baby bump! It’s fun to see it when I’m not flexing and just running!

✖️It’s Never Too Late to Incorporate Strength Training✖️

Nothing like absolutely crushing a Monday workout to start out a new week! Rainy day brought my workout inside super early (yesterday) morning. Almost halfway through this pregnancy I am still feeling good and want to continue to give my best efforts. So why not start with adding some strength? For those that have been following me for quite some time know that it’s no surprise that I never have incorporated strength which a part of me wishes I did especially during my marathon training. I know I am only going to slow down as I get further along; doing some strength strength training will be something I can fall back on to give my body a break from the constant pounding of running. Of course it’s not hardcore but I know it will benefit me more during this pregnancy and especially postpartum. Every pregnancy is different and I look forward to getting stronger this go around. I know if I keep this up diligently I will have a successful L&D, maintain proper weight gain, more energy, less aches and pains, and better sleep. After all, exercise increases the blood flow to the placenta which is great for the baby’s growth and development!
10 Push-ups a day🤰🏼Let’s have a great week 🙌🏼

I AM A MOTHER RUNNER💗This is what life is all about! Being able to share my passion with my son is truly having the best of both worlds. You have changed my running for the better and I aspire to be the best role model that I can be for you. When I see you light up and smile from ear to ear it truly makes being a mother more than worth it. Running with you is definitely an ongoing adventure and I wouldn’t have it any other way. He will always have a special place in my heart as we learned the ins and outs of running with a stroller, we trained for my First Marathon together, and now we are pregnant running. I am so beyond blessed to be your Mommy! .

IT’S THE WILL NOT THE SKILL

Yeaaaa finally got in some speed today and it felt so good!!!!
Where there’s a will there’s way! I have always loved that saying especially during this chapter of running. Congested baby, yuck weather, and an unmotivated mother Runner is how my morning started bright and early. BUT I knew I needed to sweat it out and made time to get on my beastly machine. Again, I try not to make it easy or seem like I’m skilled at running pregnant; it’s my drive to keep going where my body can safely allow it. I work hard and it’s already getting tough earlier in this pregnancy. Today I broke up the run with 3 sets of 3 Miles and busted out a hard effort the last 3 Miles. Made the run much more enjoyable on the treadmill!
Woohoo 🙌🏼

I am so excited to launch my very first sleeve design! I had the pleasure of working with @Zensah on this fun idea of POPSICLES!!! These are such a fun, colorful, and cool design for summer! I love making a statement and these sure do. It makes me smile big because I remember growing up eating all the fun popsicle treats that are on the sleeves. Even now popsicles are my favorite go to treat during pregnancy when I’m craving something naturally sweet.
Hope I can give a pair to someone. Would you rock them?!
👉🏼What’s your favorite kind of popsicle? Let me know 😋

Pregnancy is a SuperHero Power!

That’s my motto for this pregnancy; the feelings this time around are much different where I feel more confident and stronger. Rather than worrying and not knowing the unknown, I am embracing every milestone and doing what my body is allowing me to do. Don’t get me wrong, things can change drastically as my pregnancy progresses as I want to be realistic but I’m a day shy of 18 Weeks and it’s amazing of what I am still capable of doing. Heck Yea I am smiling because I was able to knock out a double digit run on the treadmill!
Woohoo 🙌🏼

💙700 Pregnancy Miles💙

I never dreamed I would be able to accomplish such a milestone so early in this pregnancy BUT I always remembered that WE ARE CAPABLE OF AMAZING THINGS!!! The struggle I have experienced with this pregnancy is what has truly made me stronger than ever. Throughout the early stages of pregnancy I was in a denial that I was pregnant and kept pushing on with my training and logging many miles (definitely gave me a head start with my pregnant miles). I was prepping for my second Marathon in hopes of striving to secure my time even more for Boston. Even after finding out I was pregnant and immediately dealing with all day sickness, I still was determined to keep going with my training while keeping it a secret. After consulting with my Mom & Hubby we knew it wouldn’t be safe to run the marathon due to all my horrible symptoms. No time to feel sorry for myself I literally prayed upon it & decided with God’s strength and guidance I would give myself a challenge by running 1K pregnancy Miles.....for starters! It’s not even about bragging because I have seen all the good, bad, and ugly days of this challenge. Sure, I post just about all the Good time but just getting motivated while pregnancy along with having a toddler is a challenge in itself!
Throughout this challenge I have changed my habits:
🔹Fuel & Hydrate Properly 🔹Eliminate Fake Sugars
🔹Run 5 Days w/2 Days Rest
🔹Respect & Listen to the Body....you’re growing a Human!
🔹Have a Positive Mindset
🔹Workout for the Pure Joy of it.....celebrate each gestation week!
🔹Most importantly, Go at YOUR OWN PACE! .
.
Remember, you can do anything you set your mind to do.....pregnancy is a gift, embrace what YOU can do with it!!!!🏃🏼‍♀️💙

Nothing like a good run (yesterday) to start off the week right! Short and simple, this was the first run I actually felt pregnant haha
The bump has officially made its appearance and running just started to get real!!!! The weather was favorable so I did my best to make a long run happen. Wanted to quit at mile 3 due to the weird bodily reactions I was experienced but quickly snapped out of it and just felt good the rest of the way. And to think it’s only the beginning but I refuse to look at what I did my last pregnancy because let’s face it, EVERY pregnancy is different.

👉🏼Real Talk: I have been getting many questions about what I do for fueling before I run and it’s not much but it’s what seems to work for me. A cup of coffee and two slices of toast loaded with cherry jam! Of course a water in between as well.
What is your go to fuel before you run/exercise. Share 👇🏼 .
