Lately I’ve been increasing calories and it’s been the most incredible game changer🙌🏻

✨This does not necessarily apply to you if you’re on a weight loss journey and have significant fat to lose. If that’s you you should likely maintain your deficit
✨I was cutting starting in April and got to 14% BF. At this point I maintained the deficit around 1700
✨Overtime this was slowing my metabolism, limiting my performance in the gym, keeping me from making ANY gains, and making it a challenge to keep the ones I had
✨I’ve been increasing my calories and have felt WAY better, have been lifting more, recovering faster, am no longer feeling like a little weakling in the gym, and am making real gains that I’m fricken pumped about 💪🏻
✨Unless you’re prepping for a show with a set end date and a coach to guide you, abusing your body with a constant and perma-deficit will make your metabolism go to shit and you’ll wonder why you’ve hit the infamous plateau
✨You’ll also not burn fat, because with an unchanging deficit your metabolism will eventually adapt and you’ll no longer be able to gain muscle or lose fat
✨Increasing muscle mass will increase your BMR and you’ll be able to eat more every day, but this ONLY occurs in a calorie surplus‼️‼️
✨It’s possible you don’t have a slow metabolism, you could be CAUSING a slow metabolism if you are under feeding yourself
✨If you think you could be undereating, track your calories on my fitness pal and see what you’re hitting
✨Get guidance! Reach out to me or another online coach about your energy needs
✨Plateaus are the sign of a problem, and that problem is 100% fixable. Bodies do what WE tell them to, we just have to know the right ways to get what we’re looking for ❤️❤️❤️
