Cozied up with a classic recipe by @ohsheglows. This golden red lentil dhal is what I crave whenever it starts getting cold out. You can find the recipe online, but it basically consists of cooking red lentils with curry powder, turmeric, ginger, carrots, onion, chicken broth and coconut milk. At the end you throw in heaps (and heaps!) of spinach and you end up with belly warming goodness. 🧑
I threw in an egg cup smothered in cheese for some added protein πŸ’ͺ🏻
450 calories, 20g protein, 19g fat, 37g carbs.

Wishing I had this breakfast feast in front of me right now 😍 I love when we have guests because we get to go all out with my favourite meal. Scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, toast, jam, honey... and maybe some local bacon πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
But this morning I’m having a leftover banana protein square (recipe coming!), Skyr yogurt, and pumpkin seed butter. πŸ‘πŸ»

Chicken breast roasted on the BBQ πŸ”₯. I kept the seasoning simple (salt + pepper) and ate each bite with my homemade hummus. Also had some quinoa, cucumbers, tomatoes and roasted portobello mushrooms. πŸ₯—

Wow!! What a meal. πŸ‘πŸ» We ate in the most beautiful farmhouse, served by the @bulbsoffire family. In between meals I noticed @mattdeanpettit (from @foodnetworkca) pick edible flowers which went directly from the garden to our table, and into my belly. Just wait until you see the garlicky goodness I brought home with me. 😍

PS - I'm glad you only get to SEE the beautiful dishes and not SMELL the after effects of this garlicky affair... 🀭

I am about to dive into a MULTI-COURSE GARLIC DINNER. A dinner where EVERY DISH has garlic in it. INCLUDING DESSERT. I'm SO EXCITED. Not only because of the garlic, but because all the garlic is grown by @bulbsoffire, a local sustainable garlic farm here in Tiny Township. Turns out they sell over 40 kinds of garlic. Is it news to anyone else that over 40 kinds of garlic exist?? I'm sure I'll learn all about it tonight. Stay tuned for more info!

These egg muffins are fantastic!! They’re easy to make, full of vegetables, and snack size!! You guys, I’m really excited about them!!

+ 6 eggs .
+ 1 cup chopped vegetables (I used sweet pepper and onion)
+ anything else you want to add (I added a slice of chicken. Cheese would be eggcellent) πŸ˜‰
+ pinch of salt, pepper, herbs (I did dried savoury) .
Grease a muffin pan and drop in your mix-ins. Whisk the eggs in a bowl with seasoning and pour over mix-ins. Should make 6 muffins. Put in oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. .

After two trips to bulk barn and several stops for discounted bananas, I’ve found my favourite protein cookie recipe. πŸͺ They’re gooey and chocolaty and super super healthy! I’ll be having them on repeat every morning this week. All you need is:
β€’ 2-3 ripe bananas
β€’ 3/4 cup quick oats
β€’ 1/4 cup old fashioned oats
β€’ 1 scoop whey protein powder
β€’ 1/4 cup 70% cocoa chocolate chips
β€’ 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
β€’ 1 tbsp cinnamon β€’ pinch of nutmeg β€’ pinch of salt
Should make about 10 cookies. Cook in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Approximately 130 calories per cookie, 8g protein, 5g fat, 19g carbs.

I knew it would be a good day today because I opened a perfectly ripe avocado πŸ₯‘. The tomatoes were DeLiCiOuS and from the farm up the road πŸ…. 250 calories, 11g protein, 11g fat and 24g carbs.

Dinner for two from the barbecue πŸ”₯ Simply seasoned with salt & pepper. Garlic scapes from the farm up the road. Five minutes to prepare, 20 minutes to cook. Easy and delicious πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ
Per serving: 300 calories, 23g protein, 18g fat, 15g carbs.
