So fun back story, when I made an Instagram I made it solely for fitness, fitness marketing, expanding my business etc.. i was making money off of Instagram waayyy before everyone and their mother got on the band wagon (and in my opinion saturated and ruined the fitness industry) and made a completely separate “fitstagram”.. I didn’t have a personal account and I don’t think people realize this, This was never intended to be a personal account. I don’t post shirtless selfies on Facebook or twitter.. and the last year and a half I hardly post on here at all. Why? The industry has changed, from the business and personal standpoint. I spent years in the gym, weights were my escape from the shitty hand in life I was dealt “and I’ll be the first one to say someone always has it worse” but I just hate what fitness has become. I’ve trained hundreds of people, spent countless nights walking to the gym growing up literally to cry and lift until i couldn’t even move. To ESCAPE. And then out of no where everyone spends two months working out and starts pushing their garbage products and lack there of knowledge on everyone, and is in my inbox asking me for advice. The same people who never said A word to me growing up or couldn’t even give me a follow back or like. And they’re the same people who post and say some dumb shit “oh sorry I’m so annoying with my fitness posts but let me post it anyway, for attention”... lol. Almost implying As if people like me who have been doing this since before Instagram, and before you favorite Instagram celebrity look weird?? I could go on for ever but I’ll try not to. Let's start a new trend On this FYI Friday. One thing I notice a lot of novice/ intermediate (lifting for maybe 1-2 years) gym goers doing "that really bothers me" is worrying about being lean.. and wanting to look "shredded" the fastest way possible. And they try to do so by doing these bulks and cuts, back and forth bulking, cutting, bulking.. and so on and never attaining the image they want because they never give their bodies enough time to grow! Then they ask me "oh dacotah how long should i bulk? Should I cut right now? I never see results!" Lemme get you in on the secret.. 😱🤐 it's called PATIENCE, CONSISTENCY, and TIME! To sum this all up if you want an eye catching physique you need significant muscle mass so those muscles pop when you eventually do get lean! And to do so you need a caloric surplus! That's how you gain muscle! This doesn't take days or weeks.. it takes months and years. Stop wasting your time "cutting" if you've never put in the time to grow and achieve muscle bellies that are even visible! You aren't going to look shredded.. even if you are a low BF with out the muscle. So.. let's make 2018 the year we stop worrying about being lean when you can't even bench 200.
