#tbt it was not easy starting behind everyone in a tight road dressed in that costume in the heat. It was all worth it for a good cause.
More than 2,700 competitors ran, jogged and walked the Allstate Life Insurance New York 13.1 Marathon in Queens. Devang Patel of North Bergen, N.J., dressed as John Travolta's “Tony Manero” character in the hit movie Saturday Night Fever, began the race in last place and passed 2,209 runners, earning a $1 donation for each ($2,209 total) by US Road Sports to benefit N.J. Shore cleanup.
This year @queensdistance is holding the first marathon in queens this weekend. If you haven't already signed up make sure you checked it out. The amazing race is put together by my very own friend @the8amazin8kevin.
