I moved to LA around 5 years ago as a dancer with a list of goals I wanted to achieve. I wanted to dance for “these top artist” and book “this many jobs” by “this certain time”. When I tell you the vision I had for myself was so clear you couldn’t tell me anything different. But as we all discover, life will come through & shake all that upside down and have you stuck like “wtf?!” I am highly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given so far when it comes to my dance career but there we’re plenty of times when I felt robbed, deprived, and unfulfilled with my returns compared to all the hard work & energy I was putting into it. These exact feelings led my heart to realize I hadn’t been utilizing my full self and ALL of the gifts God had bestowed in me. There’s so much more to me than trying to fit into the boxes of the dance industry. So I listened to my heart and took action. Literally lol. The past 2 years I’ve been training in acting and have grown to a place where I’m now ready to create my own for the sake of experience. I’ve learned from dancing that you can’t sit around & wait for the opportunities you want. And rather than doing things with an expectancy of certain results by a certain time, you should push yourself to your own highest potential just to see how far it gets you and enjoying the journey along the way. If there’s one thing LA has proven to me, it’s that anything TRULY is possible so just go for it! With all that being said, here’s a mini short I wrote, directed, and edited myself. :) A HUGE thank you to @officialctv @jonasuber12 @mizzk.o. and @qburdette (🎥) for supporting me by sharing your talents & helping me bring this into fruition.
