Lighten the load so it is no more than 10% of your weight; heavy backpacks can cause falls and spinal damage. Watch for warning signs that the backpack is too heavy, including: Difficulty when putting on or taking off the backpack, pain when wearing the backpack, tingling or numbness in the arms or legs, red strap marks over the anterior part of the shoulders, and any change in side to side posture while wearing the backpack.

September is National Cholesterol Education Awareness Month. Did you know more than 102 million American Adults (20 years or older) have total cholesterol levels at or above 200 mg/dL, far above healthy levels.
More than 35 million of these people have levels of 240 mg/dL or higher, which puts them at high risk for heart disease. We provide nutrition and exercise counseling at the wellness center which may be helpful 😊

Everyone probably knows that internal condoms exist, but did you know they prevent STI’s and pregnancies similarly to external condoms AND many people prefer the sensation? Come pick them up at the Wellness Center today!

Have sex that’s sexier and safer! Often called dental dams, latex barriers placed over the genitals or anus can prevent STI transmission effectively. Step 1: Check the expiration date, Step 2: Check for an air bubble in the package, if not, it’s bad! Start over, Step 3: Open the package but not with teeth and watch out for nails, Step 4: Grab scissors and cut the tip off of the condom, Step 5: Cut through ring of the condom, Step 6: Unroll it! You now have a dental dam. Lay the lubed up side on the genitals or anus.
