I've said it before and I'll say it again. Two of my favorite things about this job... getting to love on newborn babies and becoming fast friends with people like @sweeetcarol_22 . Isn't this little family of hers just the cutest?! Double tap if you agree with me on that! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ

Wishing there were more days in the weekend so I could keep snuggling this sweet boy and tickling those little toes. Anyone else struggling to get moving this Monday morning? Surely I'm not alone in this! πŸ™…πŸ»β˜•οΈ

Anyone else excited that it's the freakin weekend?! πŸ₯‚πŸΎ

Every night I crawl in bed, look over at the monitor, and say to Chris "I just love him so much". I still can't believe how fortunate we are to be Grayson's vessel here on Earth. He is a constant reminder of just how big God's love is. In a world where we often feel inadequate, it's good to wake up and feel so loved by these two. πŸ‘ͺ

My absolute favorite thing about this job is getting to spend time with so many wonderful people and families. I've known the Kennedy family for quite a few years now but they recently moved out West and I was lucky enough to snap some pictures of them before they left Fayetteville. Thankful this morning for genuine people like these right here and a job I truly love. Have I mentioned that before?! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

I've taken a few days off of work the past week to do a few shoots and get some things in order around here. But I've become much more aware these days that my family suffers when I try to fulfill myself by being busy. So, I'm spending my day off today with a breakfast date with Grayson, resting at home, a visit to the splash pad, and some quality down time. It's all about balance folks! Who else is with me on that?! πŸ™ŒπŸ»

For me, nothing in this world beats waking up on a Monday morning and getting to stay in bed, cuddled up with a sweet baby in your lap. Even the mundane edits, lists, and calendar updates are all better when done in the comfort of home with the biggest sweatshirt I own, a full pot of coffee and baby jabbers in the background. P.S. I'm still calling Grayson a "baby" because I can't accept the fact that he's a full grown 1.5 year-old toddler that speaks real words and runs all over this house with those little feet. Happy Monday! β˜•οΈπŸ’›

I get to snuggle another newborn today and get in some quality snuggles with my own little guy, too. Grayson started saying "I love you" this week and randomly loves to squeeze my neck... nothing better. That little guy has taught me so much, and lately he has taught me that we need to take time out to randomly give a hug to those that bring us joy and tell them just how much we love them. Anyone else guilty of not doing that enough?! πŸ™‹πŸ»

We are spending our Saturday morning in bed with coffee and knocking lots of "to-dos" off of our list today. Having a kid, owning a home and a small business tends to rack up quite a few long lists. Anyone have a favorite app or notepad they use for managing lists? I'm in need of a new system! I'm also sending out this newborn session this weekend and trying to catch up on several seasons of Game of Thrones πŸ™ˆβ˜•οΈ

All smiles today because I have a five day weekend and I get to snuggle several newborns over the next few days!! Also, how stunning is this couple from last week's sweet maternity session?! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ‘ΆπŸΌ

I've got a confession over here today... I have been busy planning, making lists, checking things off, repeatedly putting off some of those things, and making more and more lists. I feel like a hamster on a wheel and I spend far too much time with my phone to my face. It seems like a lot of fun to run your own business and have a job that gives you creative freedom, but it has it's downfalls my friends (It's July and I'm already planning my taxes for next year). I feel constantly "signed on", working all hours, because running your own business isn't an 8-5 job. So, I recently downloaded an app called "Moment" - go do yourself a favor and download it - it really made me aware of just how much time I spent on my phone responding to emails, messages, posting to social media, texting, etc. You guys... my average is over 3.5 hours IN A DAY 😳. So, I'm making a promise to myself and shutting down an hour before bed every night. If any of you have advice on managing screen time or things you have found that have simplified your day-to-day routines, I want to know - this momma, that works two jobs, is feeling pushed to her limits these days! Anyone else with me?! πŸ™‹πŸ»β˜•οΈ

I have so many newborn sessions this month and I am pretty darn happy about it. How could I not be overjoyed about baby cheeks, tiny toes and sleepy smirks?!!🌻
