Practicing yoga is one of many methods I choose for training and movement. On #InternationalYogaDay, I thank the practice for what it's brought to my life.
It is restorative.
It is centering.
It is mentally and physically challenging.
It is rewarding.
It slows me down when I can't seem to stop moving too fast.
It pushes my boundaries of movement beyond what I think is possible.
It teaches patience.
It teaches kindness.
It teaches presence.
It teaches awareness.
It teaches forgiveness.
It teaches acceptance.
It teaches love.
Yoga is fluid, malleable, and ever changing. Yoga is part of my life. And my life is part of yoga.
I am not a "yogi" but I love knowing that the mat is always there for me.
More than anything, I've met amazing people through sharing a practice. Thank you if you ever have--or ever will--practice with or instruct me.
