Bright bright Poncho for 5 year old granddaughter or it could be a shoulder warmer for daughter - but then again maybe NOT.
This is that time of the year (Autumn /fall in New Zealand) where I knit quick pieces for granddaughter now aged 5.
#knitintheround #poncho this poncho was knitted from the neck down and shaped with lifted increases.

Small person cowl in my favourite knit stitch feather and fan knit in the round in variegated yarn. #featherandfan #knitintheround #connielenedesign this was knitted from the bottom up and the feather and fan was knit in reverse so the top folded and showed the feather and fan correctly.

It is done. I hope madam princess will come down today to try it on and maybe even let me take a photo

Just need a wee person to check this will sit nicely on her neck and shoulders without being too tight

Lazily sitting knitting a wee cowl for wee granddaughter #knitintheround #featherandfan should be gardening

"autumn" Fisherman's rib cowl knit in the round. #knitintheround #fishermansrib used many different coloured mohair yarns.

It really is a rectangle,. Baby cot blanket going to Cromwell today. Just in time as weather has that autumn feel about it.

Watching winter Paralympians, thinking of winter coming to us in New Zealand, finished a fisherman's rib cowl using different mohair colours. I am in awe of the super g skiers. The fan is on as is too warm to be sitting with mohair.

Enormous cucumber found when I was pulling the plant out - hidden way under the tomatoes. Will it be edible I wonder? 1.6 or so kilos

Our amazing pear tree. It is grafted with winter Nellis and packham pears. We have already picked more than 150 pears. They are being stored as pears ripen off the tree. When we want to eat these we take them out of cold storage to room temperature to ripen. Delicious #fuddyfarm

A bit of colour play unblocked and ends to sew or weave in still. #dreamerchallenge 5 "bringing it all together" fibre, colour, yarn weight and needles. #bringingitalltogether simple intarsia, 8 colours, mix of 3 and 4 ply yarns of various kinds. Sorry I didn't make it in time Frenchie @arohaknits I have enjoyed the process and it's been a good reminder to play with colour again in my knitting. Thanks
