#ninjastars session this morning at @commandotough with @evaninja @omar.ninja @scottevennett we had some mini battles stay tuned on @ninjastars ... I was trying out some new shoes on the #warpedwall unlike the #ninjawarrior show this wall has a steeper bottom and larger overhang so a bit more tricky to master, I got up the first time I tried it so feeling good about this #obstacle. The key is to get right up the wall before leaping for the top... a good couple of steps to get you high up then leap for the #edge.

What Is A Belief?
It’s a feeling of certainty about what something means. The challenge is that most of our beliefs are generalizations about our past, based on our interpretations of painful and pleasurable experiences.

The challenge is, most of us do not consciously decide what we’re going to believe. Instead, often our beliefs are misinterpretations of past events. How do ideas turn into beliefs? Think of an idea like a tabletop with no legs. Without any legs, the tabletop won’t even stand up by itself. Belief, on the other hand, has legs. To believe something, you have references to support the idea—specific experiences that back up the belief. These are the legs that make your tabletop solid and that make you certain about your beliefs.

For example, if you believe you’re extremely intelligent, you likely have a lot of references to back it up. Maybe you did well in school, people always tell you how smart you are, you catch onto things quickly, etc. You can find experiences to back up almost any belief. The key is to make sure that you’re consciously aware of the beliefs you’re creating. If they don’t empower you, change them.

My self belief has been made from years of victories, both big and small from a young age. From team sports (soccer, football)
Individual sports (gymnastics, little athletics, surf life saving,motocross) playing computer games, shadowing my father and building a mechanical aptitude, countless missions serving in the Special Operations Command, running a successful business.
With every victory i would associate immense pleasure, this became very addictive and soon was the only acceptable outcome. I now know that this very standard in which i was creating for myself would shape the rest of my life. Everything in my life from the clothes i wear to the car i drive, the house i live in, would be shaped by the standard i have set myself. "Our personal best is the very least we should expect." Think about how high your standards are for yourself.. Think about how strong your self-belief is.. And why? "NO LIMITS"

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! Over the weekend I participated in the Warrior Immersion Course held by @scottevennett and the men and women at Commando Tough. The course was designed to give people an insight to many things that contribute to a strong and focused mindset to help you smash your goals and have a better attitude about everyday life. Lessons about nutrition, breathing techniques, leadership, teamwork and everything fitness related where no question was a stupid question.
The weekend was not just filled with theory lessons but phyiscal challenges that were designed to break everyone who undertook the course regardless of thier fitness level to engage the part of the mind that creates doubt and the mind conjures injuries to trick you into saying "No Duff" (I quit). I learned when you are at the point of what you think is pure exhaustion and your physical limit is all in your head. You keep pushing and you will be astounded by what you can achieve. How else do you explain doing 150 burpes after a few hours carrying a boat up and down sand dunes?

The more you are exposed to difficult and specific situations, the more conditioned you become. I'm talking from experience 😎

You want to improve your emotional intelligence, then clock up some reps in an emotional zone. You want to toughen up your character. Then you will need to get past some extremely tough moments.
