Haven’t really felt motivated to post, recently. No particular reason. Maybe just too busy living life to be posting about it.

And I am truly happy that life has come to this state of happy balance. It’s been a long time coming, but where I am now is where I need to be right now.
_
And that will always be the case.

I’m a big fan of #NOW! I’ve been using their essential oils since way back when - as scents, on my face, hair, pillow, etc. and recently, I’ve been introduced to their pea protein powder, which has been fab to counter bloating I usually get.

For my #InternationalDayOfYoga 2018 post, I wanted to share the moment when yoga became pivotal for me.

Pole always has been and will always be my first love.
_
@thebrassbarre ‘s Amateur Night 2016 was the first time I really put myself out there to perform publicly.
_
But I took to the stage a broken person - there was a lot going on in my life and I really couldn’t cope. It was a pretty difficult time for me.
_
Since Pole classes were primarily in the evenings (and because I was looking for ways to improve my flexibility for the pole), morning yoga classes gave me a reason to immerse myself in my practice - and another productive outlet to release my restless tossing about in my sleep and tire myself out for the evenings.
_
I loved the coaxing from all those instructors that for just 1 hour, I didn’t need to focus on my troubles. That I had to be present in my practice. That it was OK to put myself first.
_⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I always situated myself right in front of the mirror, so that I could always look myself in the eyes. And over time, I learnt to love what I saw there.
_
My encouragement to anyone who’s bothered to read through this long, emotional post of mine is that for #iyd2018, find your yoga - your productive, safe space where you can put yourself first. Guilt-free.
_
And it can take any form - an activity, an object, a place, a person, whatever. With or without any hard times, because it will make you better for it.
_

Work’s been crazy, and it’s been a while, but I finally had some time to go upside down yesterday! Longer hang time than usual, so it’s rather interesting since it’s something I haven’t really been working on recently.
